J.J. Turner presently serves as pulpit minister and an elder for the McDonough Church of Christ, McDonough, Georgia. He has preached
in over 400 meetings, seminars, workshops, etc. in 40 states and 23 countries. He is the author of 85 books, eight in the field of
leadership. His most recent are "Elders, Wake Up!", "Deacons, Wake Up!" and "Against All Odds!" He was the founding President of three
Christians schools and colleges, and presently serves as Chancellor of the McDonough Bible Institute. He has the earned D.Min. and
Ph.D. degrees. He and his wife, Isabel, have two adult children and four grandchildren. He is also the Director of the Abundant Life
Center, which is a counseling center.
